A BRIEF OVERVIEW OF THIS MODULE

“Career ambition knows what he/she wants from a career and actively works on it; is career knowledgeable; makes things happen for self; markets self for opportunities; doesn’t wait for others to open doors.

This is the 6th competency of Lominger competency model that focuses on management of talent and basic leadership created by Lombardo & Eichinger. This model is composed of 67 competencies used to test talent management systems. The 6th competency tells that opportunities come for those who are looking and working hard for it. If someone wants success, an action is needed to attract it, and the best way to begin is to prepare for an interview.

Interviews are generally stressful—especially in high-pressure environments such as the healthcare industry. However, as a medical professional, one will inevitably have to undergo numerous interviews in the span of a career. These interviews will either make or break one’s growth, depending on performance and attitude towards these experiences.

One of the most crucial qualities of an excellent interviewee is grace under pressure—which means performing the best even amidst tension. This module will help to thoroughly prepare for interviews, to ease nervousness, and to ensure that all bases of preparation have been covered.

Upon successful completion of this module, you will be able to:
● List the necessary preparation steps before the interview
● Practice interview questions whilst focusing on yourself
● Answer common medical interview questions
● Determine the best practices and etiquette during the interview, and
● Demonstrate the steps to take immediately after an interview

  • ● Pre- and Post-Module Reflection
